I take your feedback very seriously and I'm already planning releasing additional levels, which will be made available for free in the near future. Having said all this, I hear what you're saying. I like to believe that DARQ is consise and full of ideas, not spread over multiple hours for no other reason than to extend gameplay in artificial ways. I decided to avoid that trying to respect the time of the players who have better things to do. I could have made the game longer in annoying ways, by rehashing ideas, etc. I also heard from a lot of people that most Steam users have a ton of games they bought that they never got to play, so my idea for level design was to avoid content-fillers. Modeling, texturing, animation, level design - all of it takes a lot of time. It took so long because this was almost a no-budget production and most of the game had to be done by a single person - me. It took me 3.5 years to produce this level of polish, and I worked pretty much every waking hour in the last 2 years ( a lot of 100 h work weeks). it was mostly developed by one person (well, 95% of content in game, not including sound design).
